Dibly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect when you use the Dibly mobile application, how we use and secure it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver shared expense management and bill calculation:

• Profile Information: Your display name or nickname (and optional email if registered).
• Expense & Group Records: Group names, 4-digit invite codes, expense descriptions, bill amounts, who paid, split members, and repayment records.
• Local Storage: An encrypted local database on your device (Room Database) and Jetpack DataStore to provide zero-latency and offline usability.

What We DO NOT Collect: We do not collect or process bank account numbers, credit/debit card numbers, UPI PINs, GPS location, device contacts, or photos.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Calculating shared bill portions and simplified repayments ("who owes what").
• Syncing shared groups across members with the authorized 4-digit invite code.
• Ensuring offline availability on your device.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Group expenses and balances are visible exclusively to other members who join the same group with the invite code. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Security

All network communication between Dibly and our servers (https://askwb.com/dibly/api/) is protected using TLS/HTTPS encryption. Detailed network logging is disabled in release builds to prevent data leaks.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You can clear your local device cache at any time by logging out or clearing app data. To request permanent deletion of your account or server records, contact us at support@askwb.com.
