Sub: Admissibility of Domestic Help Allowances to the retired Judicial Officers of the West Bengal Judicial Service.
Sir,
I am directed to say that the Governor has been pleased to allow all retired Judicial Officers of the West Bengal Judicial Service including retired members of the erstwhile West Bengal Civil Service (Judicial) and the West Bengal Higher Judicial Service will be entitled to draw Domestic Help Allowances @Rs.1250/- per month in cash w.e.f. 01.11.1999. Such allowances shall be included in the revised P.P.O. of the pensioner concerned and the payment shall be made on the basis of a certificate to be issued by the pensioner himself/herself to the satisfaction of the disbursing authority of the pensioner benefit.
This order is issued in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 06-12-2005 read with order dated 07-02-2006 passed in Writ Petition (Civil) No.1022 of 1989 and with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their U.O. No.1095 Group ‘P’ (Service) dt. 16.03.2006.
