Sub: Grant of Leave Travel Concession (LTC) to the members of West Bengal Judicial Services as per recommendations of the Shetty Commission.

Sir,

I am directed to invite a reference to above and to say that in supersession of all previous orders issued in this respect, the Governor has been pleased to sanction with retrospective effect from the 1st April, 2007 Leave Travel Concessions to all member of West Bengal Judicial Service once in four years to any place in India. For entitlement of first LTC one must have put in not less than 5 years of continuous service. No LTC shall be allowed within one year before retirement.

Provided further that there shall not be any carry forward of LTC beyond retirement and the rate of such concession will be admissible as per the prevailing LTC Rules of the Central Government.

The charge is debitable from the sub-detailed head “07-other Allowances” subordinate to the Detailed Head “01-Salaries” under the respective salary heads of the concerned Judicial Officers.

This order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their U.O. No.3192 dated 31.08.2006.
