Please look at the ‘CALCULATION OF EXEMPTION OF HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE U/S 10(13 A) OF
THE INCOME TAX ACT, 1961′ segment in this excel utility. We know that BASIC PAY = BAND PAY + GRADE PAY but there is no inclusion of Grade Pay. I am confused . Can anyone help me providing the details whether it should be calculated with or without Grade Pay ?
calculation of hra exemption u/s 10(13)A, basic pay means= band pay + grade pay. But in this utility, wrongly calculated without grade pay. You may merge grade pay with band pay to get actual exemption amount
