    Is there a Govt. order regarding purchase/restriction on purchase of calculators? If yes may somebody point me to that.

    Calculator may be considered as “Tools & Plants” item.
    So, such purchase should be entered in the “Tools & Plants” Register.
    “Tools & Plants” need proper record keeping such as purchase date, quantity, to whom it is issued for use, whether it is un-serviceable, if so proper certification by the appropriate authority etc.
