Child care leave for the Govt aided school Teacher

First I would like to mention this leave is meant for the Kid not for the incumbent and as every kid is a future of the country. Govt cannot deny this leave for school teachers just because the Head of the institutions finding it difficult to run the show. it is the responsibility of the government to provide infrastructure.
Teachers are denied Earned leave etc because of the nature of the Job .In that case we cannot take legal action as leave is not a right but this CHILD CARE leave is meant for the kids.
So Can My Kid file a case against the government because he is being denied the right where as in same profession like government sponsored school other kids are enjoying with their mother.January 7, 2013 at 9:33 am #76299
100% agree with you, but why only mother? This leave is essential for both father and mother for their kid and also for all kinds of profession.January 7, 2013 at 9:43 am #76300
Yes I do agree. This should also given to private sector employees also. Countries like Germany gives child care leave upto 7 years (I have personally stayed there). Either father or mother can avail it. keeping in mind the present social scenario like increase in crime etc. Our kids needs proper parenting.I know this will not solve all problem but at least we can work towards minimization of the chance factors. Thanks!!January 7, 2013 at 4:00 pm #76305
If the child stay at home upto 7 years then will he/she start their study? Why are you comparing INDIA with GERMANY? Do you think if the mother of child stay at home with her child then the crime will decrease? Then do you think that the criminals are those who did not get their mother in child age? Why?January 7, 2013 at 4:12 pm #76307

I think kids (less than 18 years) can not file case in Court.January 8, 2013 at 9:49 am #76312

First I donot mean they will stay at home. Parenting does not mean confinement in home rather it is about spending quality time and supporting them with all activities. So they can go school but normally child in the early age spend minimum time in schools ( i know some school keep them for many hours but that is not standard culture.)
Secondly I am not comparing India with Germany. Just to show that how much they take care for their future generation still being a developed country . So this Child care leave is not a new case and an advantage given to Indian women only, it is also available in other countries as well. Up to 7 years that means it is up to the parent that how much they avail. but can be upto 7.
I also wrote It will not solve all problem but may be a step towards the greater solution. Quality parenting and just spending time with child is different. Research shows child with history of non quality parenting, difficult child hood has the greater future tendency to develop criminal mindset. Please note two words Parenting ( NOT MOTHER ONLY) and Quality Time.January 8, 2013 at 11:15 am #76313

@ RSB: I think you are right. Parents do not perform their duty properly which results a spoiled child.
So, proper parenting, time for parenting (child care leave) play a major role to develop the society as a whole.January 8, 2013 at 2:02 pm #76347
Thanking both of you I want to say, if the govt give us child care leave upto the age of 16 years then the actual aim of our discussion will arive the target. Because I think the decision power will be acqured by the child at that age. I am not against you. Actually if we get it I shall specially gainful for it. But the main problem is, the govt will have to pay salary for both myself and the deputed one in place of me. Most probably neither our state nor our country is not so developed. You are watching that now a days the govt is thinking for B.Ed in ODL model as there the govt will have not to pay the salary for two people in one post. So…………………….January 8, 2013 at 3:18 pm #76319
Whatever the theory is, the practical side of the real situation is that it’s really very difficult for the Office administration to manage the Office where there is a considerably good number of female employees.
Don’t take it otherwise, but we speak of equality, equal right to work, equal wages for equal work, but when a female employee is on a total leave of 2 years (with her full salary) it’s really injustice to ask her colleague, a male one having equal salary, to do her assigned/pending work of a total two years (may be in different spells). Situation worsen when a female employee finds her entitled for 2 years of leave and her ‘child’ is just 2 years behind to complete the age limit. I am certainly not against the Child Care Leave, its a good decision of the Government for the female employees but certain things are required to cope up with the problems arising. Advantages are given for the benefit of employees, but misuse of those creates the difficulty.
The real need of the Leave would be better understand if one clause is added that the Child Care Leave can only be taken when the Earned Leave is exhausted. If it is really necessary, no mother will hesitate to exhaust Earned Leave for her child.
Schools have provisions for Deputation vacancy, that type of vacancy should also be implemented where Child Care Leave is implemented, for the sake of smooth running of Office administration.January 8, 2013 at 4:47 pm #76322
I could not control myself from writing few words. Just forget about the financial condition of the Govt. If 2 years of CCL is implemented, would not it be nicer? It is not a matter of India vs Germany. I would highly appreciate if CCL is granted for breast feeding of the child for the first year atleast. Probably Govt. could not afford such leave but the concept of CCL is undoubtedly very good. Now the question is why Govt. could not extend this facility to everyone?
