In Air Force the Certificate issued by the IAF is auhtorised and recognised by the Cabinet Secctt, Govt of India and also recongnised as Indian University apart from receiving recognition from at least 15 Universities of India not only for Service but for onward study against that Certificate. The Matriculate recruited soldier , who have put up at least 15 years of Service, are equal to a Graduate in all respect except where an technical and professional experience is not essential. The above sentences are printed on those Certificates itself and GOI Authority for the both is referred.
Govt of India, Deptt of Personnel Cabinet Sectt, New Delhi has recognised “IAF CORPORAL EDUCATION TEST” as Equivalent to Higher Secondary Exam of a recognised Board or Pre-University of an Indian University for purpose of Employment vide OM 6/1/72 Estt(D) dated18 Nov 72 and 15 State Universities have been recognised the Certificate as equivalent to H.S.Exam (Securing 50% of marks in each subject) and authorised to continue higher Study based on this Equivalent to H.S. Certificate). The same is again clarified by the Min of Def and Min of Pers and Trg, Govt of India and written the same to School Edn Deptt (Pry Br.) vide 0515/Gen/DGR/Emp-3 dated 02 Jul 2012, School Edn Deptt or WBBPE has yet not given any reply. (Is Official Policy of Govts, whether It is State or Central (With authority of Ministry) is optional for implementation by another arm of Government?. Repeated request, for making it clear, have been made to all concerned, Incl NCTE, HQs. I request a graceful attention of Min of Def, Min of Home (Dte of Education and Trg), Govt of Pers, Govt of India and Hon’ble Min of Edn, Mr. Bratya Bosu, Govt of WB and NCTE. Otherwise also an EXSM with Matriculation and Minimum 15 yrs of dedicated Service for the country, is given an Graduation Certificate, which is accepted by all the States, U/T of India, Banks , PSUs, Govt U/Takings. Why shall it not work here? once Govt of India also defined to State Govt(School Edn Deptt (Pry Br)) to entertain the eligibility as Graduation). Request, to take a kind concern, to the competent authority.
I am an Ex-Sergeant of Indian Air Force. I was appointed as primary teacher on 25 February 2010. My educational qualification is Higher Secondary (Science) in the year 1981 with 49 % marks (excluding additional subject Biology). But, this mark will be 51 % on the basis of the marks of best 5 subjects (if Biology is considered as main subject and Mathematics as additional subject). Moreover, I have a certificate which is equivalent to Graduation issued from Indian Air Force. Kindly reply me whether I have to upgrade my H.S. Marks to more than 50 %. Please reply soon. I am in great tension.
