My colleague recently got promoted from L.D.A to U.D.A on and from 6th May, 2015. Now the question is whether his G.I.S should be changed from Rs. 20( I.F Rs. 6 + S.F Rs. 14) to Rs. 40 ( I.F Rs. 12 + S.F Rs. 28) from this month itself or from November 2015?

It is generally changed once in a year i.e. in the month of November.

My query was to know what will happen to G.I.S subscription of Rs. 40.? Since , he gets promotion before, but his G.I.S for next higher group starts from the following November , won’t he be losing the benefit of insurance which he is liable to get from the date of promotion?
