My collegue is a Group D employee .Recently ,he went to Raksham in the state of HP on availing LTC .He has submitted his Bill in this regard .He has claimed taxi fare as there is no bus service in between Shimla and Raksham. He alongwith his unmarried daughter and wife has performed the said journey. Now,the Pay & Accounts has requested to submit his claim according to rate per kilometer according to his entitled class as perTA rules. Can he claim kilometer rate per Head? Is he entitled to rate of Central Govt. rate as his tour is outside the State of West BENGAL?
As per the Central Govt. LTC rules for journey by road, reimbursement of ACTUAL FARE is admissible in respect of journey by vehicles operated by the Govt. or by any Corporation (under Central/State/local body).
Rates notified by the Directorate of Transport of the concerned state where the journey is performed is considered for entitlement.
Journey by PRIVATE bus/taxi/autorickshaw etc. is NOT considered for reimbursement.
