When the G.O will publish then the matter will turn to legal from illegal. But in current situation it is not possible.April 12, 2013 at 3:38 am #77745
Is the G.O published yet ?
And is it anyhow possible to cancel the existing M.A degree ? Then, it would be easier for me to take permission from the D.I and pursue another M.A course on the same subject .April 12, 2013 at 7:32 am #77748
till now no news of such type of G.O……May 13, 2013 at 2:40 pm #77974
Let us consider a case, where an existing teacher who has appionted in P.G. post. Then if he/she wants to do M.A. degree then how it is possible? Then he/she will have to resign first.May 28, 2013 at 11:19 am #78053
I guess there is no need to do such type of thing. When one master degree is completed then why should to do again?June 24, 2013 at 1:03 pm #78171
If anyone changes the university then the master degree in the same subject twice is legal, but can’t say whether two degrees will be accepted by the education deptt or not.June 27, 2013 at 3:17 pm #78193
Posting here after a long time. I am afraid, I would not be able to help you in terms of G.O. but I can refer to a case that has happened to a colleague of mine.
The said colleague joined service as an Assistant teacher in the Pass category on November 2002. After having completed his B.Ed in 2008, he appeared for SSC and got appointed to another school in the PG category in 2009. His percentage in MA was about 45% only. Later on he got admitted to Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur and secured well over 55%. He has used that degree and appeared for NET and qualified as well. However, he is still working in the same school.
For his school, his older PG degree still holds good as that is the one that he has used to get the job in the first place. However, he has the same degree in the same subject from another university. This is a confusing situation. I have no idea of the legal implications of this situations.
