Special Leave for Mountaining Course

I am a SAE (Gr-A). I want to do basic mountaineering course from Mountaineering Institute for 28 days. Is there any provision in Govt. Rules for get special leave? I think it’s get to approved a permission from Indian Mountaineering Foundation. Please anybody help about this matter.

Perhaps not.

3. Mountaineering Expeditions: Government employees participating in mountaineering expeditions may be granted special casual leave not exceeding 30 days in any one calender year subject to the following conditions:
(a) that the expeditions has the approval of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation; and
(b) there shall be no change in the overall limit of 30 days special casual leave for 1 calender year for participation in sporting event of National or International importance.
The period of absence in excess of 30 days should be treated as regular of the kind admissible under the leave rules applicable to the person concerned. For this purpose Government employees may be permitted as a special case to combine special casual leave with regular leave.December 28, 2012 at 1:54 am #76183unknownParticipantIn the above noted reply (Rule 3 of Appendix 11 of WBSR Part – I) there is no clear mention of mountenearing course instead of mountenearing expedition. I think a mountenearing course could not be treated as mountenearing expedition.
December 29, 2012 at 7:02 am #76202unknownParticipantI also think a mountaineering course and mountaineering expedition is not same one. And I saying about Mountaineering course which is the training before mountaineering expedition and under the approval of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation.
