Here is a good news. The state Govt. is about to introduce “encouragement allowance” to the doctors for their posting in rural area.

    Any news about this?

Whether any order has been made by the Government for “Encouragement Allowance”? However, every public servant works for gain. So if a Government Doctor is posted in a village then he is automaticaly deprived of the urban amenities which become essentials of his life as the place where he acquired medical education belongs to any city. In that case he should get almost the double salary as allowances on different counts for serving in villages. And above all there should be a particular period of tenure for working in villages. Gone are the days when the doctors use to visit the villages on cycle with their medicine bag. How many Doctors the Government produces every year? More than double of that is produced by the Private Medical Colleges which charge high fees. So why should a doctor from those colleges go to the villages? His present salary will not yield even the interest on those spent money on his medical education.
