I just googled about wifi health effects and found mixed reaction from people. So, could not come to the conclusion.
However, at present I think that Wifi is not safe for children. It has negative health effects. Affects brain, cell growth etc.
I had a bad experience, i went bed turning on mobile hotspot by mistake. In the morning I was not feeling good, my brain was not relaxed like other days. So I always keep my mobile phone away from bed. However, i am not sure whether it was due to wifi or mobile signal.

I personally do not welcome the concept of Free Wifi in public places. (Making Kolkata, a WIFI City)
Wifi can only be used in smart phones, obviously, a smart phone user is not poor and do not need free stuff.
Rather, I welcome free food /free clothes / free medical treatment for the poor people.

Yes, ofcourse. And you know, a report by Economic Times said that a researcher at Bengaluru airport was able to hack into the devices of all users who had connects to the free Wi-Fi with a mere $100 device. Imagine the security threat when the entire city goes on to connect to the free Wi-Fi. Hackers can easily get access to “users’ WhatsApp conversations, credit card numbers and encrypted user names and passwords for good measure.”

What about the revenues through tele-connection? Who is going to provide that? What about the service taxes? What about the costs of information providers? What about the uses of redios and TVs as people will use wifi instead?
