The authorities of the Govt. Aided Schools of West Bengal are entitled to alter the model holiday list as provided vide Memo No. N/S/244 dated 27/12/2013. But the total no. of holidays must be restricted to 65. You have 5 optional holidays this year. So make a resolution and approve it in your committee to enjoy 17/03/2014 as an optional holiday if you wish to do so. Thanks!
If the holiday on 17.03.2014 is under NI Act, then employee of Financial Institute/Bank may avail the holiday.
Holiday on 17/03/2014 should be declared a holiday under N.I. Act so that Bank/ Financial Institution Employees can be saved from Holi disturbances. These days, in WB, Dol Jatra and Holi are both celebrated in most places. Without a holiday on 17/03/2014, employees will either remain absent or have to face the disturbances that are associated with the festival.
IF 17TH MARCH 2014 WEST BENGAL HOLIDAY BY NI ACT .PLEASE DECLARED AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

Holi is being celebrated on 17th March in many neighbouring state of west Bengal. Bankers can not go home to celebrate holi. People will face lot of problems while attending duty on 17th as state govt. announces holiday. Leave should be allowed under N.I. Act also.
