I had joined as primary teacher on 12 th june 2010 after complition 1 st semester exam of MSc degree course (regular).Then i comleted the msc degree without any permission & without hackling my duty in school.I also take casual leave on the dates of next time exams of msc .Is my msc degree valid if i put this degree as fresher ?Please send me the GO related to this fact.

If the institute has authority to issue that degree then it is valid. In your case the question is whether that M.Sc. degree (which is valid) which you have obtained without permission of school authority can be RECOGNIZED/ ACCEPTED by the school/D.I.! If you appear as fresh candidate with M.Sc. qualification next time I think there will not be any problem!

June 20, 2013 at 2:34 pm #78158unknownParticipantVirtually not feasible to reject the degree by the university. You started M.Sc. course before joining the school. As such there was no question of taking permission from school authority/D.I. at that time. Though you continued the course after joining, yet it was not wise to restrict a teacher from doing higher study in academic interest. Moreover, P.G. degree has no relevance in the normal course curriculum of a primary school. Therefore, you could have communicated to the school the matter of continuance of M.Sc. course. As per recent High Court verdict, a teacher is protected if s/he wants to go for higher degree in academic interest without hampering his/her duties and responsibilities for the students of the school.

there is no GO for this for primary teacher but in no way you have to be hackled by law on the other hand as POLO has already said the recent court verdict will protect you (one of them says “education is a right and no one can be denied of that”) though these order were for high school teacher the mood is clear.

Yes you are eligible to compete in SSC exam with M.Sc., B.Ed. But you will not be able to claim service continuation. You’ll have to join High School, if qualified, as a fresher. Of course, you must resign from Primary School before joining the High School. Thanks.

I have joined as an Asst teacher on 19.09.2009 as Honours Graduate in H/PG post. Then I completed M.Sc degree in my subject obtaining M.C permission but not by D.I/S. Although I have prayed to D.I for the permission but not responded till today . Now I have decided to sit for SSC again with M.Sc degree. My question, Shall I get continuation of my service ? -
