This is a very commendable initiative from the part of West Bengal government. It proves that Government cares for its staff members. My query is that whether there is any such option for Child Care Leave for contractual female employees working in Corporations wholly owned by Govt of West Bengal.
May I know the meaning of “with less than two surviving children”. Does that mean having only one surviving child ?
Whether a male Govt. Employee with two child having less than 18 years of age can avail 30 days for his existing two children?
Basically, less than two means – only one!!
I think under the provisions of this memo, one can avail this leave for one surviving child below 18 yrs of age.
An employee with having one surviving child can apply for CCL for birth of his second baby online.
Then what is the effect of less than one surviving child.
Here the word “Children” carries a significant meaning.If it is admissible for one then it should have been”child:
