    A central govt autonomous employee submitted resignation. but till after 3 years his resignation is not accepted as his files are missing in his administrative office.admins are asking for duplicate documents from employee. Can he rejoin his previous post? If allowed to rejoin how the absent period of three years dealed?

    Rules differ with the organisations. Still, resignation be withdrawn only before the date from which the resignation is to take effect.The resignation becomes irrevocable and operative after the aforesaid date of resignation. Therefore, the question of re-joining doesn’t arise at all after the date from which the resignation is to take effect.Please check the relevant regulations of your organisation for clarifications in this regard.
